Working with a material like cement, which is robust and can withstand low temperatures allows me to consider where my art might be shown. It can be shown indoors or outdoors, in a garden setting.
When visiting a garden centre recently, I noticed the type of 'art' that was available. For the most part, it appeared to me that what was on sale was mass produced pre-cast concrete. Some of the general public like this kind of thing (which is evident as it would not be on sale at the garden centre if there was no demand). But, for me, there was nothing there that I would have spent my money on to have in my garden. Here is a selection of photos which took that day.

Whilst I quite like the skulls, the other garden ornaments don't really do much for me.
This leads me onto another idea, that there may be a market for different types of garden art., and with this in mind, I would like to approach some garden centres to see if they would be willing to sell some of my work.
Cadbury Garden Centre is one I that I have identified as a possible venue, however, they are large and may not be amenable to the idea. But one will never know until you try. And with this in mind and some photos of my work and a some business cards, I will pay them a visit.
