In the last two years I have started to combine Artists Cement with Glass. This is a combination that works well, by the contrast of the materials used.

It is commonly known that spending time in the natural world is good for emotional and spiritual health, so with this in mind I have spent time researching the ideas of fusing natural ferns and bracken in between two pieces of re-claimed glass, (this glass would otherwise go to landfill).   The research done over the last couple of years has resulted in a range of my 'Stone and Light' bowls.  Most bowls cast a shadow underneath as the base is solid, however, the Stone and Light bowls are designed to allow the light to spill from the base due to the glass 'window' with a real fern fused into the glass.
